Description:

Provide Employee and labour Relations support: Ensure adherence to conditions of employment · Advising the employees on the cidb policy and procedures during induction and on an ongoing basis · Advise employee on latest amendments to legislation that will impact on the organisation and its operations · Conduct regular engagements with employees and ensure there is awareness of ER/HR protocols and regulations

Facilitate all disciplinary, grievances and CCMA matters:  Facilitate all cases and dispute resolution matters in line with applicable legislations and policies · Guide management and other stakeholders on disciplinary and grievance investigations as well as labour legislation · Support line managers with investigations and report preparation on findings and recommendations of grievances and misconducts · Represent cidb at the appropriate dispute resolution forums like the CCMA and Labour Court.

Develop, Review and advise on ER policies and procedures: Research and benchmark employment relations policies, procedures, and practices · Develop and implement best practices and alignment with industry standards · Maintain effective policies and procedures so that labour disputes and grievances are minimized · Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policy, case law and procedure · Provide training and workshops on labour law updates and policies.

Facilitate all management and union matters including wage negotiations: Coordinate all Labour and management engagements · Plan for salary negotiations and provide support in bargaining matters with labour · Planning, scheduling and arranging of meetings for the annual collective bargaining process · Planning, scheduling of the Labour Forum meetings and provision of secretarial services to the forum · Any other duties that maybe assigned by Director HR.

Audit and Risk Management: Ensure that all ER Matters are well managed · Risk identification and mitigation · Put sytems in place to assist audit.

Requirements:

Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in law, (NQF Level 7).

Experience: 5 years’ experience as an ER specialist work in unionised environment
