Job Description
Facilitate and implement cidb’s Intergovernmental Relations strategy -
- Facilitate and implement the intergovernmental strategy framework and guidelines for the cidb
- Promote intergovernmental cooperation through IGR protocols.
- Coordinate inter-sphere and inter-sectoral intergovernmental cooperation.
- Monitor, evaluate, report and provide input on the IGR agenda.
- Develop the IGR database (all sphere of the Government).
- Review the operations and procedures of the Intergovernmental Relations function.
- Develop monitoring mechanisms for critical intergovernmental institutions.
- Implement the IGR Joint Plans.
Establish partnerships with private sector stakeholders to advance the cidb mandate -
- Facilitate and implement the strategy for cidb partnerships with the private sector
- Identify possible synergies and establish partnerships with private sector stakeholders.
- Leverage partnerships in-order to ensure cidb accomplishes its overall goals.
- Facilitate the development of Memoranda of Agreements / Understanding with private sector stakeholders.
- Monitor progress of the targets in the approved Memoranda of Agreements / Understanding with private sector stakeholders.
Serve as the key liaison and project coordinator for matters related to the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, and Parliament
- Execute requests for reports and information from the shareholder i.e. the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) in a timely manner and ensure that there is a high level of quality.
- Represent the cidb at DPWI intergovernmental forums
- Facilitate the engagement between cidb and Parliament related to cidb reports and presentations.
- Facilitate cidb responses to parliamentary questions send to cidb.
- Provide high-quality reports to the Director: Business Improvement, at the agreed frequency.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Management or Business-Related Discipline.
Five (5) years’ experience related to intergovernmental relations and/or stakeholder relations management.
Knowledge of Intergovernmental Relations Framework Act (Act 13 of 2005), Public Finance Management Act, Municipal Finance Management Act and related legislation.
